PDI Precision Cylinder Set for Marui L96 AWS(HD)

Description:

This ultra-precise cylinder for the L96 defies conventional wisdom:
22mm inner diameter (stock diameter), ±1/100mm inner diameter tolerance, SUS304 (stainless steel), laser welding, and parallel pins.
Cold forging achieves the same inner diameter precision as standard inner barrels. Hidden behind the phrase "seamless pipe" lies the question: "What about precision? What about inner diameter tolerance?" Even if seamless pipe is selected, using inexpensive pipe will not improve the adverse effects on the piston. PDI continues to use seamless pipe with a tolerance of ±0.01mm, the same precision as other manufacturers' inner barrels. This positively impacts piston speed during sear release. The stainless steel used by PDI is cold-forged SUS304, made entirely in Japan.

"Consideration of the connection point with the boss":
The utmost care is taken with the connection to the boss, which is the neck of a custom cylinder.
While many cylinders use hollow split pins, we determined that these do not offer the same level of durability as conventional cylinders, and instead adopted solid parallel pins. Additionally,
welded joints ensure a tough design that can withstand repeated cocking over a long period of time.

[Tapered Cylinder Head]
This component determines how efficiently the air expelled from the cylinder is converted into power.
PDI places the same importance on the inner barrel and chamber, using SUS303 stainless steel and tapering the interior at an optimal angle to achieve power conversion superior to conventional heads.
Furthermore, the extended nozzle length optimizes BB retention positioning, resulting in stable power output. The O-ring at the tip of the nozzle improves airtightness within the chamber, reducing air loss.

[HD (Hard) Piston]
The L96 utilizes the best-selling duralumin piston from the APS series.
The piston is divided into four parts: the head and body are made of durable duralumin, the ring is made of highly durable Delrin, which has excellent sliding properties and contacts the cylinder, and the rear end is made of carbon steel, which is the part that bears the most load and is the sear
. By using the right materials in the right places, we have created an ideal piston in terms of durability.
This product is also a highly airtight version that eliminates the vacuum system, making it popular for its higher muzzle velocity than VC pistons. While
VC pistons can achieve longer throws, they take longer to seal, which translates into a difference in muzzle velocity compared to HD pistons.

[Spring Guide]
The spring guide is susceptible to stress from the expansion and contraction of the spring during cocking, so a single Delrin thrust ring is attached to the base to reduce the direct load on the guide base.
The fully machined stainless steel construction boasts high dimensional accuracy, and the shaft is thoroughly polished for smooth pump action.
This product is designed exclusively for HD (hard) pistons, so the shaft is longer than that of VC guides.

Please use the end cap bolts sold by our company.
Marui genuine bolts are made to original specifications, so they have a smaller diameter than standard bolts, and if used with a PDI cylinder, the threads may not fit. The standard cap bolt for the L96AWS is an M3 x 12mm pan head cap bolt.
