Some OEM receivers have a bulge in the center due to their solid construction. Wearing the support ring or removing it can cause friction with the cylinder, resulting in heavy cocking. PDI
receivers maintain a straight inner diameter, eliminating interference with the cylinder for smooth cocking.
Note: Support rings cannot be used with PDI receivers. Cylinder friction may occur, but it does not affect actual shooting. This is only noticeable on APS and other bolt-action rifles.

To more closely resemble the original, PDI has adapted the outer barrel joint to the Remington M24 series type. It shifts from the smooth taper of the stock to the stepped model of the Remington. This subtle detail significantly shifts the overall image.

If the outer barrel doesn't fit properly, try sanding the small hole in the outer barrel thread with a file.
When attaching the mount base, be careful not to overtighten the screws. Using too much force may damage the receiver screws.
