Cold forging achieves the same bore diameter precision as standard inner barrels.
Hidden behind the phrase "seamless pipe" lies the question: "What about precision? What about bore diameter tolerance?" Even if seamless pipe is selected, using inexpensive pipe will not improve the negative impact on the piston. PDI continues to use seamless pipe with a tolerance of ±0.01mm, the same precision as other manufacturers' inner barrels. This has a positive effect on promoting piston speed during sear release. PDI's stainless steel is SUS304, cold forged and made entirely in Japan.

"Consideration of the Boss Connection Point"
We pay close attention to the connection with the boss, which is the neck of a custom cylinder.
While many cylinders use hollow "cotter pins," we determined that these do not provide the same level of durability, and instead use "solid parallel pins."
Additionally, welded joints ensure a tough design that can withstand repeated cocking over a long period of time.

[Tapered Cylinder Head]
This part determines how efficiently the air expelled from the cylinder is converted into power. PDI places the same importance on this as the inner barrel and chamber, using SUS303 stainless steel with an optimally tapered interior to achieve greater power conversion than conventional heads.
*The fully machined stainless steel head is produced with the goal of "producing the best product" without considering cost, so it is not sold separately. It is a key part included only in this set.
Furthermore, the extended nozzle length optimizes the BB retention position, resulting in stable power output. The O-ring at the tip of the nozzle improves airtightness within the chamber and reduces air loss.

[VC (Vacuum) Piston]
The L96 employs the best-selling duralumin piston from the APS series.
Divided into four parts, the head and body are made of durable duralumin, while the ring, which comes into contact with the cylinder, is made of durable Delrin with excellent sliding properties. The rearmost section is made of carbon steel, as it is the part that bears the most stress and is connected to the sear.
By using the right materials in the right places, we have created an ideal piston in terms of durability.
It features a "vacuum system" that eliminates negative pressure in the center of the head. The concept of the vacuum system is
to eliminate the "bullet pullback" that occurs after firing a BB, thereby eliminating negative forces and ensuring a straighter flight.

[Spring Guide for VC Pistons]
The spring guide is susceptible to stress from the spring's expansion and contraction during cocking, so a single Delrin thrust ring is attached to the base to reduce the direct load on the guide base. The
fully machined stainless steel construction boasts high dimensional accuracy, and the shaft is thoroughly polished for smooth pump action.
This product is designed specifically for VC (vacuum) pistons, so the shaft is shorter than that of HD guides.
